I like suspense, usually in smaller doses, so this was a good change for me.

As I finished the book, I came away hoping that more fiction will honestly portray the real-life experiences of women in difficult jobs.
Very entertaining adventurous life.
Although the three series are interconnected, the short stories are not a necessary read for the unraveling of the mystery in the series, yet each book pushes boundaries in the development of their intimate relationship and that reflects in their behavior/actions in the novels.
Whether he learned them through his own experiences or passed on to him by his own teachers, the lessons he taught me have served me well; enough for me to pass them on to my sons, befittingly enough, through teaching them how to play xiang qi, too.
The illustrations are likewise powerful, but several would be gory and disturbing for pre-teens.
I hope I am describing it right.
